It was yesterday when our frustrations were triggered by a very unfortunate cancelled flight. We know it was November 1, and here in the Philippines this date of the year means 95% of the establishments like malls and restaurants are going to be closed for a holiday.
Passenger Seat, Marikina City
Furiously happy for the holiday, we decided to go somewhere we have been badly wanting to go since it went viral on social media. Behold, the Passenger Seat. Passenger Seat is a newly opened airplane-themed restaurant located at Lot 2, Blk 25, Aquilina St., Brgy. Sto. Nino, Marikina City. Behind Crave Park Marikina. Passenger Seat is very accessible to the public or private vehicles. Of course, we were reluctant to proceed given the annual holiday but we were so persistent we even called their contact number displayed on the Facebook page. Hoorah, someone answered and told us that they are open on that day until 11PM. Shortly after that call, I scrolled down a little bit on their page and found this announcement posted:

Like what??! Is it open or not? We were ready to go so we went anyway.
How to go there:
METHOD 1:
Get in the car. Buckle up. Set-up your Waze or Sygic. Type in Passenger Seat, Marikina. Easy.
METHOD 2:
Commuting. If you are coming from Cubao, Quezon City, ride a jeep going to Montalban or San Mateo. It will pass by Gil Fernando Avenue. Get off at the Engineering and you can see the Passenger Seat in front of it.
Some of the landmarks that you would be able to see around are Crave Park, Sukutil Seafood, and Hassan Kebab and Steaks
Marikina: Tunay na Marikit
Awarded as the 2nd Cleanest and Greenest City in Metro Manila and considered as one of the Healthiest and Most Livable Cities in Asia-Pacific region, one could absolutely observe how tidy and beautiful this city is upon entering its borders. All streets are litter-free. You could only see dried leaves scattered on the ground. Everything is basically green.

Discovering Lamp Quarters
We can't just go home crestfallen. So we walked just a few steps from Passenger Seat to see the other interesting food places.
The next thing we noticed was the Crave Park. However, we came all the way here for unique and new experience. We couldn't just settle for a typical food park. If that was the case, we could've just went to Hangout Food Park, Garahe Food Park, Food Garage, Streat Commonwealth Food Park, or Chillout food park which were much closer to us.

Crave Park
Finally, The Lamp Quarters which saved the night. It is composed of family oriented restaurants: Dong Juan (originated from Cebu), Dubba Lab, Silyo (Pampanga Cuisine), Ahlee’s (originated from Maginhawa Food Park), Chives (originated from Antipolo City), among others.
